During the seed harvest season in Ban Rabue Village, Ngern is responsible for collecting and storing seeds for the upcoming year. Unfortunately, a group of black-faced thieves attempt to steal the seeds, and Ngern unintentionally kills them. Wanting to avoid any trouble, Ngern, along with his two friends, sets out to find guns and bring them back to protect the village.。莱斯利（张国荣 饰）是戏剧系学生，他离开了女友玛姬（张曼玉 饰）远赴艺术之都巴黎，希望能够在此学习深造，磨练技艺。在这里，莱斯利邂逅了名为谢丽（钟楚红 饰）的女子，谢丽是一名画家，趣味相投的两人相见恨晚，聊得十分投机。然而，两人都知道，彼此之间的感情不会有结果，于是双双选择发乎情止于礼，然而某日，莱斯利在无意之中发现了玛姬所画的许多自己的肖像，深受感动。 终于，莱斯利和玛姬还是越过了友谊的界限，与此同时，玛姬来到了巴黎探望男友，在玛姬的面前，谢丽隐瞒了自己和莱斯利之间的关系。可是，莱斯利和玛姬的感情早已经变质了，没过多久，他们便走到了分手的边缘。而莱斯利和谢丽之间的爱火，却愈演愈烈。。
