John Ellman (Boris Karloff) has been framed for murder by a gang of racketeers. He is unfairly tried and despite the fact that his innocence has been proven, he is sent to the electric chair and executed. Dr. Evan Beaumont (Edmund Gwenn) retrieves his dead body and revives it, as part of his experiments to reanimate a dead body and discover what happens to the soul after death....。阿忠一觉醒来，发现自己死了。他看着太太和子女处理他的身后事，一家人围着尸体一边吃早餐、一边七嘴八舌，阿忠也在旁边喋喋不休，但不论生前或是死后，他讲的话都没人听！他只能委托一个人，完成他最后心愿。。影片根据华大基因研究院真实事迹而创作，讲述了王建国、杨明远、赵普3位博士在国外留学期间参与了由全球基因列强组织的“人类基因组”测序，此成果获得巨大成功，震惊世界！他们怀揣着复兴中华民族的伟大梦想回国创业，成立了博大基因研究中心，由于种种原因他们在SARS病毒的测序战中惜败给加拿大科学家，赵普选择离开，远赴西藏支教。。
