A rash of bizarre murders in New York City seems to point to a group of grotesquely deformed vagrants living in the sewers. A courageous policeman, a photo journalist and his girlfriend, and a nutty bum, who seems to know a lot about the creatures, band together to try and determine what the creatures are and how to stop them.。小区起火，独自在家的李轩轩深陷火海。好心女主叶晓晓报火警并尝试施救，消防紧急赶到，却遇消防通道被车阻挡。队长何峰果断撞车，却被外出打麻将的张桂芳撞见，她借机讹钱，索要金额从五千涨到十万。因她的阻拦，屋内发生爆炸，李轩轩重伤。
