每年，村民们都会选一名纯洁的少女，将她献给邪恶贪婪的地藏鬼王，凡是落入地藏鬼王手中的女子，无一不面临着香消韵损的悲惨命运。这一次，遭殃的是嫣红，虽然麻衣老祖得知这一消息立刻前往营救，但最终还是没赶上。麻衣老祖和地藏鬼王之间展开了激烈的较量，最终，两人同归于尽。 一晃眼两百年过去，医师于无意之中拾得并且安葬了嫣红的遗骨，一人一鬼就此邂逅，产生了一段缠绵悱恻的人鬼绝恋。与此同时，鬼王之心亦因为沾到了人类血液而死灰复燃，地藏鬼王再度降临世间祸害凡人，麻衣老祖的传人初一和十五继承了师父的遗志，再度与鬼王展开大战。。Series two joins Chris Carson six months later.
