十五年前，云家同时迎来了两件大事，一件大悲，一件大喜。喜的是一道圣旨，诏令云家刚出生的大小姐是未来的太子妃，将来会母仪天下。悲的是云家的夫人诞下的是一对双生女。在北齐，双生子向来是不祥之兆。。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs.
