A dying professor of Egyptology (Boris Karloff) asks to be buried with a valuable jewel known as the Eternal Light, which he believes will grant him immortality in the afterlife. When his butler (Ernest Thesiger) steals the jewel from his tomb, Karloff returns from the dead to seek revenge.。本片讲述了三对各自独立发展但是又相互牵连的爱情故事，一段段相互牵连而又不同的爱情境遇，让生活在现代都市中的三对年轻恋人，在不同的困境、波折、彷徨、误解后，最终各自感情上的结都因真爱而解开……。
