90年代，中国中部沿江小县淮川的一起凶杀案，模拟画像师章欣奉命前往画出嫌疑人。却意外画出了一个已经死去了十多年的女人，是原来县文工团的一个舞蹈演员严华。当全部人都觉得章欣画错时，案子却又诡谲的和80年代的一起连环谋杀案关联在了一起。章欣为了证明自己，一步步走向这迷雾之中......。Marnie just graduated from college, drinks likes she's still in school, and is looking for a temporary job but a permanent boyfriend.
