Mike and Heather's father die and they go to his favorite spot to spread his ashes. A cabin in the secluded woods. They are joined by some friends as they go for what is supposed to be somewhat of a holiday. While there, a demon emits chaos by possessing the teens and they commit horrible acts. Welcome to Black Creek. The Hunting Season has begun.。故事的设定是在《绝命毒师》的6年前——2002年，讲述了索尔在遇见“老白”之前的故事，那时他的名字叫吉米·麦吉尔，还只是一个无名小律师，他头脑聪明、口齿伶俐，每每为自己客户争取最大化的利益。本应事业一帆风顺的他，却时运不济、财运不畅，蜷缩在美足沙龙一隅办公住宿两用的狭小空间。沉重的现实逼着他只能一边代表着法律做正义的事情，一边尝试着打擦边球为自己招揽油水更大的客户，本性善良的吉米转变为游走在法律边缘的无良律师索尔的过程。。影片以科幻手法，把一对老年夫妻机缘中时空穿越回到高中时代，男主了解命运走向，对女主及家庭默默进行了命运转折，使女主的人生轨迹不再像以前。这时，男主才发现，人还在，爱不再。时空之门即将开启，男主面临着最痛苦的艰难抉择。。
